Step Inside the Glow Gallery
A mobile, immersive art space that brings colour and creativity to you
What is it?
The Glow Gallery is a travelling exhibition that transforms any space into a world of fluorescent art
How it works…
The Glow Gallery is built from a set of modular rooms. The space is flexible and can be arranged in a variety of ways. Visitors begin in the entrance space and follow a winding path that guides them through every section before exiting at the far side.
Each square module features a range of fluorescent art in open gallery-style rooms, where walls glow with painted artworks and patterns revealed under UV light. The opportunities for softer, quieter spaces, designed with cushions and bean bags where people can pause, sit back, and take in the atmosphere at their own pace.
Because the design is modular, the layout can be adapted to suit the venue — expanding for larger spaces, or folding into a smaller, more intimate arrangements if necessary. Each time could be a unique experience, balancing energy with calm and offering moments to play, reflect, or simply enjoy the colour and light.
UV Workshop Sessions
Our UV workshops bring creativity to life in a way that’s hands-on, exciting and memorable.
In schools, children get the chance to paint their own glowing designs using special UV paints. It’s all about fun and imagination; whether that’s bold patterns, colourful creatures, or abstract bursts of light. At the end of the day, their artwork can be displayed in a glowing pop-up gallery, where classmates, teachers and parents are invited in to experience the exhibition. The children not only get to create, but also feel the buzz of sharing their work with others.
For adult sessions, the focus can shift towards learning and technique. Participants are guided to experiment with blending, layering and different brushwork under UV light. The results are always unique and surprising, plus everyone gets to take their artwork home as a lasting memento.
Each session is designed to be flexible, joyful and inclusive, making space for self-expression and collaboration in a glowing environment unlike anything else
Collaboration Art
Art brings people together.
At the Field Trip Festival in August, everyone was invited to help create a collaborative piece of art. All ages and abilities were welcomed to make their mark. This was the end result of a weekend of community painting. Just think of the possibilities moving forwards!
FluoreSense is designed to be welcoming and inclusive for everyone. Our glowing artwork and installations are created with accessibility in mind, especially for people with visual impairments. Ultra-bright fluorescent colors under UV light provide strong contrast, helping shapes and patterns become more visible.
Visitors are encouraged to get close to the art, exploring both visually and through guided interaction, so the experience feels immersive and personal. Spaces are arranged with comfort in mind, including soft seating and quiet zones for rest and reflection.
Our aim is to make creativity something everyone can enjoy—no matter their abilities—by providing opportunities to connect, engage, and be inspired through light and color.

About FluoreSense
I never set out to be an artist.
Back in the early 2000s, my friends were all DJs. I could not mix a track to save my life, but when they planned a party in my hometown of Southend-on-Sea, I offered to handle the décor.
I had always been creative, making my own elaborate fancy-dress costumes from Alien to Pinhead, and I knew UV paint came alive under nightclub lights. My first attempts were, let’s say, “experimental.” I had not even taken art at GCSE. But I am a problem-solver, and I began painting UV versions of The Scream and The Weeping Woman. That was when things started to click.
For years, my art lived in the world of parties and small festivals. People told me I should make it my job, but teaching became my career instead. Sixteen years of helping children learn, explore, and discover a sense of wonder.
Then life shifted…
Someone important to me, a friend with children who have specific needs, told me about how visually impaired children often respond more vividly to colours under ultraviolet light. She encouraged me to start painting again, and together we began shaping the idea that would become FluoreSense.
Shortly after, I was made redundant. What could have been a setback became the spark. I realised this was my moment, not just to create art, but to create something that could genuinely give back.
FluoreSense is not about hanging pictures on walls. It is about creating experiences that connect people, inspire curiosity, and open up ways of seeing the world. Many of my works have a spiritual undertone, not in a religious sense, but in a way that honours the connection, awe, and beauty we can share. They balance the mathematical and the magical, the logical and the luminous.
I work in both normal and UV light, moving between them to capture the dual nature of each piece. Inspiration can come from anywhere: nature, patterns, people, cultural moments. I have even created paintings based on personal questionnaires, weaving stories into glowing layers of colour.
Favourite colour?
Impossible. I love them all. And if you have seen my work, you will understand why.
